Turkey continues to dominate many areas in Qatar, as evidenced day after day, as Turkey has come to treat Qatar as one of the Turkish states, as revealed by the statements of Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu yesterday, Tuesday.
In his remarks yesterday, Soylu said: Ankara is sending 3,250 security personnel to Qatar to help secure the 2022 World Cup.
According to the Turkish Interior Minister’s statements to the media, Ankara also trained Qataris on this task before the World Cup.
Soylu made the remarks at an event in the southern Turkish port city of Antalya. “3,000 security forces and others will be deployed during the event”, in addition to 100 members of the Special Forces unit, 50 bomb-sniffing dogs with their trainers, 50 bomb disposal experts and others.
In relation to the World Cup, more than a million fans from around the world are expected to attend; our personnel will work to establish security.
The Turkish Interior Minister also noted that they have trained 677 security personnel from Qatar in 38 different areas, without going into details, nor did he specify the percentage of Turkish security personnel from the total who will work to secure the major sporting event.
The World Cup is scheduled to be held from November 21st to December 18th this year.
