Germany takes steps to expel the Brotherhood – details
Successive blows to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in various countries of the world, following the decisive decisions taken by countries in an attempt to reduce the threat of the terrorist Brotherhood group to their countries, among them Germany, when the Supreme Council of Germany’s Muslims, a few days ago, expelled all Brotherhood fronts from the membership of the Council, foremost of which is the Islamic Center in Munich, and the Student Union of the Brotherhood. It also stripped the first man of the group’s international organization in Germany, Ibrahim El-Zayat, known as the Minister of Finance of the Brotherhood, from all his positions within the Union, which was the final blow to the terrorist group in European countries.
The recent developments and crises experienced by the terrorist group in Germany came in the context of the German government and Islamic organizations’ dealing with the need to limit the activities of the group and its funding fronts, according to a study by the Egyptian Center for Thought and Studies, which confirmed that the exposure of the reality of the activities of the Brotherhood in Europe, and specifically in Germany, made the Brotherhood an undesirable entity, whether at the governmental level or at the level of Islamic organizations. The step of the removal of Ibrahim El-Zayat from all his positions within the Islamic Council represents a strong blow to the activity of the organization, given the influence El-Zayat had had been fully utilizing to implement its goals.
Dr. Aquila Dabishi, President of the French Center for Strategic Studies, said that many European countries play a major role in besieging the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group and its institutions and sectors, especially since the threat of this extremist group in Europe has intensified in recent times. This has prompted most European regimes to work to besiege terrorist networks and all those responsible for them, in addition to freeing mosques and schools from foreign influences, gradually getting rid of imams and envoys, at the same time increasing the number of imams trained in France, in addition to monitoring financial donations, and also combating attempts to separate from French society.
The head of the French Center for Studies said that the decision to besiege the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in Europe came during laws that make it difficult to obtain residency and grant visas to foreigners, especially after observing terrorist activities in Europe, as well as the enactment of follow-up laws for terrorists, such as the law passed by the French National Assembly, a bill that allows the judicial authorities to follow up those convicted of more than five years in terrorist cases, after they were released from prison for several years after serving their sentences.
Former Brotherhood leader Dr. Ibrahim Rabie said that Ibrahim El-Zayat, the former finance minister of the terrorist group in Germany, who was stripped of his posts, plays a dangerous and important role in the activities of the Brotherhood in Germany. He focused his efforts on young Muslims in Germany with the aim of recruiting the largest number of them into the ranks of the Brotherhood by joining various Islamic organizations and associations.
The former Brotherhood leader added that El-Zayat helped establish new Brotherhood organizations and centers in recent years with the help of his brothers Bilal and Manal. He also worked to weave the financial lines between the Brotherhood terrorist network in Europe with the branches in the Middle East and the major Islamic institutions in Turkey, making him the Minister of Finance of the Brotherhood in Germany in particular and Europe in general and the holder of its financial books, as he used the real estate and commercial companies he manages to form a model disguise for the financing activities of the Brotherhood, which relied on these projects to be a backstop for financing its various activities.
