Bill Gates thanks Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed


Prominent American businessman Bill Gates expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed’s humanitarian initiatives, especially his efforts to combat polio.

“I am very grateful for the efforts of partners like UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, who helped reduce the global polio burden by 99.9% and prevented an estimated 20 million children from contracting polio,” wrote Bill Gates, who is known for his global humanitarian initiatives.

“Together, we can overcome the last obstacles and achieve a polio-free world.”

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised global efforts to eradicate polio in a tweet on his Twitter account on Wednesday.

“We appreciate the efforts of the champions of polio eradication initiatives all over the world,” Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed wrote on Twitter.

“On the occasion of World Polio Day, we renew our determination to continue efforts in cooperation with partners to fight diseases and promote development in societies, ” he added.

The United Arab Emirates participated in the celebrations of the World Polio Day on October 24th.
