World Intergovernmental Summit kicks off in Dubai
The World Summit of Governments in Dubai started on Monday under the slogan “Shaping Future Governments”.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed the first day of the summit, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The Dubai government press office said on its official Twitter account that the World Summit brings together 20 heads of state and government, more than 250 ministers, 10,000 government officials, thought leaders and global experts.
The summit is the largest gathering of its kind in the world with the participation of 150 countries and will last until February 15, the office said.

According to WAM, the summit will explore a wide range of future opportunities, trends, and challenges, and seek innovative solutions to them through strategic plans that contribute to guiding policies and determining priorities in an optimal manner.
Through more than 220 key, interactive and interactive sessions with 300 world leaders, ministers, experts, intellectuals and future makers, the Summit will review the current and future global challenges.
Discusses how best to develop government and institutional performance, based on the latest developments and future trends, with a view to helping humanity to overcome challenges and problems of reality and to move towards a better, more developed, prosperous and secure future in various sectors.
The 2023 World Summit of Governments will see the organization of more than 22 global forums, discussing the most prominent future directions in the sectors most closely linked to human life.
The sessions are organized around six main themes, including: the future of communities and health care, governance of economic resilience and connectivity, education and jobs as priorities of governments, accelerating development and governance, exploring new perspectives, and designing and sustaining global cities.
