Deterioration of living conditions in Yemen… Yemenis suffer from the fire of Houthi terrorism

Yemen has been suffering from a clear deterioration in all aspects of life since 2014, when Houthi terrorist forces occupied the capital Sana’a, and the people of Yemen suffer from the horrors of war and Houthi violations.

The war has made Yemen a miserable and unavoidable country, especially as the situation does not refer to the truce demanded by the UAE-Saudi Arabia-led coalition, the UN, and the legitimate Yemeni government, but rejected by the Houthi terrorist forces.

Deteriorating economic situation

Deteriorating economic conditions in Yemen, including high prices for basic commodities such as fuel and food, and a strong decline in the Yemeni riyal have exacerbated the population’s living conditions and access to health care.

High fuel prices limit people’s ability to travel, because they cannot afford transportation and are therefore hindered from accessing health care.

Areas controlled by the Houthis are also high with cases of malnourished children; for example, access to MSF’s Intensive Therapeutic Feeding Center at Khamer Hospital, Amran governorate, has doubled; there is now widespread acute food shortages in Yemen; and there is no evidence that whole populations will be subject to mass starvation.

The Houthi terrorist militia continues its combat escalation on the western coast fronts, using various weapons in its attacks against the positions of the joint Yemeni forces and civilian objects in the districts of Hays and Al Jarrahi.”

Enhance Military Capabilities

Yemeni political activist Waddah Atiyah said: Houthi is using all means to strengthen his military capabilities in the same way the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is. This confirms the presence of Iranian experts who run the state institutions in Sana’a, including recruiting children and transferring them to the front lines after filling them with superstitions. There is evidence that there are gangs in the institutes and schools distributing pills and drugs that lead children to be dependent on them without any awareness or thinking .

Houthi, like the terrorist organizations ISIS and al-Qaeda, relies on the recruitment of children and adolescents because he has difficulty in recruiting and persuading adults, he said, adding that eight years of Houthi control over state institutions enabled him to recruit thousands of children, possibly tens of thousands, and each year a new batch of brainwashed children is produced.
