The Emirati field hospital in Gaza begins to receive Palestinian patients


The Emirati field hospital in Gaza, which started its medical services two days ago. has begun receiving patients. The first two cases involve Palestinian individuals suffering from severe fractures. The hospital received the first case, a 17-year-old young man with a fracture in the right ankle and an open wound in the right knee. requiring urgent surgical intervention to stabilize the fracture.

The second case involves a 13-year-old teenager with an open fracture in the right thigh bone, also requiring surgical intervention to stabilize the fracture. The specialized Emirati medical team at the field hospital in Gaza, comprising qualified personnel in various medical fields, immediately addressed these two cases.

The integrated Emirati field hospital in Gaza officially started providing its medical services to the residents of the sector two days ago. This is part of the UAE‘s efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian brothers and support the health system in the sector. which is facing critical and exceptional conditions. 

An Emirati medical team oversees the hospital, which has a capacity of more than 150 beds. as part of the “The Gallant Knight 3” .humanitarian operation to provide aid and humanitarian assistance to the residents of Gaza. 

The hospital includes operating rooms qualified to perform various types of surgeries. including general surgery, pediatric surgery. and vascular surgery. It also has intensive care units for adults and children. an anesthesia department, specialized clinics covering internal medicine. dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, pediatrics. and gynecology, in addition to supporting medical services. 

The hospital also provides CT scans, X-rays, and pharmacy services. equipped with a laboratory containing the latest necessary devices to conduct various analyses and tests. This enhances its ability to provide comprehensive treatment to patients and beneficiaries according to the best international protocols.
