Sudan and Iran… Why is al-Burhan establishing relations with an isolated state?

The rapprochement between Sudan and Iran deserves fear and concern because Iran is a source of instability. Sudanese writer and journalist Kamal Abdelrahman revealed that the rapprochement between Sudan and Iran deserves fear and concern because Iran is a source of instability.

He added: It is known that the al-Bashir regime entered into significant international isolation, much like Iran, and now the regimes of Iran and al-Burhan are looking for ways to survive in one way or another.

He continued: The isolation that the al-Burhan regime has entered into has made it seek any outlet, and ultimately it has returned to the old outlet, which is Iran, which wants to establish a foothold on the Red Sea.

And he continued: There are suspicious deals between the al-Burhan regime and Iran, and I do not believe that Iran’s presence will bring any positive outcomes for Sudanese because Iran is an isolated state and will work with the al-Burhan regime to destabilize the region.

He concluded: The issue of supplying the Sudanese army with some weapons has been ongoing for some time, and the aircraft supplied by Iran to Sudan are used to strike civilians and destroy infrastructure.
