Simultaneous explosions of communication devices in various Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon have raised doubts about Nasrallah‘s safety—whether he was among the injured or if his “technology phobia” allowed him to escape.

In February, Nasrallah sparked controversy among Lebanese when he linked the assassination of Hezbollah leaders by Israel to breaches resulting from the use of smartphones.

According to the Lebanese Minister of Health, the explosions resulted in 8 deaths and approximately 2,750 injuries.

Meanwhile, sources close to Hezbollah told AFP that hundreds of Hezbollah members were injured by simultaneous explosions of communication devices they were carrying in different regions.
