Leaked documents reveal Qatar’s funding of the Muslim Brotherhood at €120 million
Al-Ghad Channel has produced a video report entitled “Leaked Documents Expose Qatar’s Financing of the Brotherhood in Europe”, a documentary produced by Deutsche Welle that shows secret documents that break up the complex funding networks that Qatar uses to fund the Brotherhood in Europe.
The report noted that the documents that were leaked from inside the building of Qatar Charity include bank transfers and electronic correspondence that reveal that Qatar Charity was nothing but a cover to finance extremist activities in Europe, while the charity collects funds under the name of relief for the poor.
The video report also confirmed that the organization has funded 140 projects for political Islam at a cost of 120 million Euros, and among the donors are the Qatari Emiri Diwan and prominent Qatari figures who poured money into entities such as the Islamic Assembly in Germany, the Organization of French Muslims and the Union of Islamic Communities in Italy to build mosques and headquarters under the pretext of establishing rituals and spreading Islamic culture. It also revealed that these projects were executed by entities close to the Muslim Brotherhood to spread extremist ideas.
According to the report, European monitoring bodies such as the German Constitutional Protection Authority have confirmed this, and the film also reviews testimonies from Brotherhood defectors who confirm that the Brotherhood used these entities to direct contact with them and assign them specific tasks related to the publication of Hassan Al-Banna’s intellectual heritage under the slogan of Islam is the solution in the face of multiculturalism and the principles of the civil state in Europe. The Brotherhood has the upper hand in determining the spending of all incoming donations to Europe Muslims to the extent that Youssef al-Qaradawi, one of the Brotherhood’s senior sheikhs, is responsible for determining where Qataris spend their money.
According to the report, Qatar has also extracted diplomatic passports for some members of these groups in order to facilitate their movement within Europe and the possession of uninspectable bags.
