Two medical Emirati of supplies planes were sent to Tunisia
The United Arab Emirates is continuing its airlift to Tunisia, where two cargo planes carrying 47 tons of medical supplies, a number of respirators and oxygen cylinders arrived today to support Tunisia’s efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and limit its repercussions.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Tunisia Rashid Mohammed Al Mansouri said that the UAE is closely monitoring the developments of the health situation in Tunisia, and this support is a continuation of its efforts to provide support to its sister Tunisia to win the bet to face the challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
This initiative is the result of constant communication between His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyane, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Kais Saied, President of the Republic of Tunisia. The United Arab Emirates will continue to monitor health conditions in order to provide major support to its brothers.
The UAE sent 500 thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccines in July and 11 tons of medical supplies and equipment in November 2020, in a period that coincided with the lack of medical supplies in most countries due to the increasing number of infections in the world.
The United Arab Emirates has provided more than 2200 tons of medical supplies to more than 135 countries, benefiting hundreds of millions of people, in a way that enhances the human solidarity established by the leadership of the Emirates for cooperation among peoples.
