The destruction of a Houthi drone loaded with explosives towards Saudi Arabia… The UAE condemns the attack
On Friday, the Arab Coalition in Yemen announced the destruction of a drone loaded with explosives launched by the Houthis towards the south of the Kingdom.
A drone launched by the Houthi terrorist militia towards Saudi Arabia (south of the Kingdom) was destroyed and the second in a matter of hours.
“The UAE strongly condemned and denounced the attempts by the Houthi terrorist militia to target civilians and civilian objects today in a systematic and deliberate manner in Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia, using a booby-trapped drone, which was intercepted by the coalition forces.”
The UAE said in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation that the continuation of these terrorist attacks against the Houthi group reflects its blatant defiance of the international community and its disregard of all international laws and norms.
The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated acts targeting vital and civilian installations, the kingdom’s security, energy supplies and the stability of the global economy.
The recent continuation of these attacks is a dangerous escalation and further evidence that these militias are seeking to undermine security and stability in the region, it said.
The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these terrorist attacks and its support for all measures taken to preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement pointed out that the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the UAE as a threat to its security and stability.
“On Thursday evening, the coalition announced the destruction of a drone that had been booby-trapped by Houthi militias in the direction of Khamis Mushait.”
A coalition statement said yesterday it would take “operational measures to protect civilians from hostile Houthi militia attempts.”
The Houthi militias attempts to target civilians and civilian objects are “absurd and barbaric”, said.
The militants continue to target civilians in Saudi Arabia with rockets or booby-trapped drone that coalition forces are able to intercept and destroy.
