The main roads and squares in various regions of Saudi Arabia were adorned with Kingdom flags and pictures of the rulers, and were covered with green, on the occasion of the 91st National Day.

In addition to national flags, banners, screens and billboards across the country, many areas are planning to hold an event to celebrate the occasion.

On September 23, 2021, Saudi Arabia celebrates the 91st National Day under the slogan “It is for us a house.”

The identity of the 91st National Day differs from previous years. This year, the slogan “It is for us a house” was placed on the map of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi National Day is the day on which the name “Saudi Arabia” appeared for the first time in history, specifically on Thursday, September 23, 1932, corresponding to Jumada Al-Oula 21, 1351 A.H., uniting its flag under the banner of Islam and the “there is no god to be worshiped but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”.

The country was formerly known as the Kingdom of Hedjaz and Nejd and its annexes until Saudi Arabia’s founder, the late King Abdelaziz Al Saud, managed to liberate and unite parts of the state after an armed struggle for more than 30 years.
