Abir Moussi hints at prosecution of Kais Saied
The head of the Free Destourian Party, Abir Moussi, issued a “strong warning” to President Kais Saied, calling for the necessary measures to be taken against the Salafi “ut-Tahrir” Party, which adopts the project of establishing a caliphate state, and against the Brotherhood.
Abir Moussi said in a press statement carried by the party’s Facebook page, during a protest organized by her party yesterday in front of the headquarters of the “ut-Tahrir” Party in Ariana, that the Tunisian state should assume its responsibilities, otherwise it will be prosecuted as a state sponsor of terrorism, pointing out that cases and complaints are ready to be submitted in this regard.
The Salafi Hizb ut-Tahrir party is a den of the extremist takfiri octopus, Moussi said.
She added that it is not the right of Kais Saied, who assumed all the reins of power on July 25, and claimed that he will save Tunisia from the imminent danger of the Brotherhood, to preserve the Brotherhood system and the dens of ISIS and takfiris, according to her.
The Free Destourian Party does not accept that there should be someone who raises the “black flag” in Tunisia and does not recognize the flag of the Republic, she said.
The Free Destourian Party organized a protest rally yesterday in front of the headquarters of the Salafi Liberation Party.
A party statement dated January 6 said: The ut-Tahrir Party is working hard to topple the civil state and the republican system, and calls for the establishment of a “caliphate state” and the end of democracy in flagrant violation of the country’s legislation. The Free Destourian Party is therefore demanding the application of the law and the adoption of urgent decisions to end the activities of this dangerous organization in Tunisia, to hold accountable those involved in spreading its dark ideology, and to scrutinize the networks that it formed to serve its destructive program, dismantle it, and dry up its sources of funding, in order to preserve national security and prevent threats to the homeland.
The head of Tunisia’s Free Destourian Party said she was working hard to fight all the arms of the Brotherhood, whether it be associations, media, political or financial.
Moussi cautioned that the group is still operating freely in the country, saying: The Free Destourian Party “will continue the struggle to stop the bloodshed caused by the destruction of the black decade under the rule of the Brotherhood in Tunisia”, she said.
