Al-Hadrami, responsible for explosive devices in Al-Qaeda, killed in Yemen


Al-Qaeda has been hit several times this week, starting with the killing of a leader in Africa by US counter-terrorism forces. Today, Hassan Al-Hadrami, the leader of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, was killed by a US drone strike in the Al-Samda region in the Obeida valley in Marib province, northeast Yemen.

Al-Hadrami was killed with two of his companions, Monday evening, who were inside the car that was targeted by a drone.

Who is Hassan al-Hadrami?

Al-Masri is a key leader in al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, responsible for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and was killed in an airstrike that targeted his car in al-Samda area in Wadi Obeida, Marib province.

When he moved to Marib province, he was led by Hassan al-Hadrami, a leader in charge of making explosives for al-Qaeda called Abu al-Khair Abdul Wahid al-Najdi.

Informed sources stated that “Hassan Al-Hadrami is not his real name, but his real name, which he is known for. His real name is Hussein Abdul-Rahman Hadbul, and he comes from the area of Ghayl Ba Wazir in the governorate of Hadramaut in southeastern Yemen.”

Al-Hadrami is considered one of the most prominent and veteran Yemeni leaders in al-Qaeda. He is also known by his nickname, “The Dead Sea”, in addition to that of Hassan al-Hadrami.

Air conditioning and cooling systems engineer

He had worked in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramaut province, for many years before joining Al-Qaeda. Al-Hadrami was a specialist in engineering and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

“Besides his brother, Musa Abdulrahman Hadbul, also known as Antara, Hassan al-Hadrami has two other sisters, who recently worked as his companion and was killed.”

IED Maker

Hassan is the deputy in charge of making improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The General Command appointed him to be in charge of the manufacture of IEDs after Abdul Wahid al-Najdi was killed in an airstrike.

“Last November, forces tried to target his house with a raid, but he escaped with injuries.” He is a prominent military leader of Al-Qaeda in Yemen with extensive experience in the manufacture of mines and explosives, making him the highest-ranking target for US forces.”

The Yemeni army’s chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Saghir Bin Aziz, commander of joint operations, has ordered heightened combat readiness for all troops in Marib and al-Jawf provinces.
