Al-Sharif Al-Wafi… Named “the enemy of the Brotherhood” is candidate for the presidency of the Libyan Authority

Libyan politician Al-Sharif Al-Wafi, known as The Enemy of the Brotherhood, declared
his candidacy for the presidency of the Council of the Libyan Presidency, which would be formed to lead the transition period
in response to pressures and demands from certain political, social and youth forces
in light of the political and institutional division of the country
and the suffering of difficult daily life and the life of the services
Who is Sharif Al-Wafi ?
In fact, he is a prominent Libyan politician, born in the eastern town of Marj
He graduated from the Tobruk Higher Petroleum Institute
and elected as a member of the Libyan National Congress – the Legislative Council-
during the February 17 revolution in the city of Al-Marj on July 7, 2012
during his participation in the conference, he lead the Economic and Commercial Committee
He was the principal candidate to lead the conference of June 25, 2013
but he lost the last round of this election with Nouri Abu Shimin
who obtained 96 votes against 80 votes for Al-Wafi
because of its orientations against the organization of the terrorist Brotherhood
and his control about the situation during this period
Al-Wafi was chosen as an independent member of the Libyan National Dialogue Committee, under the support of the United Nation,
that was started in January 2015
and he participated in many of his sessions inside and outside the country
and also the deal of Skhirat, of which his name appeared as an active part in the dialogue
In 2017, he took the presidency of the Al-Nasr club in Benghazi
Al-Wafi is known for his clear and outspoken positions in favor of stability
He is also considered one of the first students of political dialogue
He called for the Libyan army to be recognized
which confronts terrorism in all regions of Libya
and the overflow of the capital, Tripoli, and the Libyan cities of armed militias
