An Expert Reveals the Plans and Names of Muslim Brotherhood Centers Targeting the Region and Egypt

Egypt faces an unconventional war directed by political research and analytical centers that continually launch media campaigns aimed at spreading rumors, stirring unrest, threatening internal stability and national security, and tarnishing Egypt’s image on the international stage. These campaigns highlight political, economic, and social issues, focusing solely on the negative aspects, while using social media platforms to spread misleading rumors that fuel public discontent.

Ongoing Issues

These centers focus on evaluating Egyptian policies from a critical perspective, emphasizing broad and vague accusations regarding human rights, criticizing government strategies for handling economic and social issues, and negatively impacting Egypt’s relationships with friendly nations and various international powers.

The danger of these centers lies in their researchers’ ability to create a misled public opinion against Egypt and its government, influencing decision-makers both regionally and internationally. This threat has grown with the rise of a broad network of suspicious centers and paid writers who coordinate to harm Egypt, its security, and stability.

Spreading Rumors and Lies

Hisham Al-Najjar, an expert on terrorist groups, states that these centers aim to keep Egypt and other national states under constant pressure from rumors and lies to weaken their influence, thereby advancing agendas aimed at weakening the region. This strategy keeps governments occupied with quelling fires and responding to relentless rumors.

He adds that this network of suspicious and paid writers includes many who call themselves thinkers and researchers, many of whom work for the Muslim Brotherhood and political Islamist groups, along with their Western allies, particularly in the Arabic versions of certain Western research centers launched during the “Arab Spring.”

He continues, noting that over the years, these researchers have specialized in promoting hate campaigns, supporting political extremism, and criticizing national states and their institutions, with a strong focus on Egypt, which has always been a barrier against regional destabilization efforts.

Among these centers are the Egyptian Institute for Studies based in Istanbul, Turkey, the Brookings Institute, and the European Union Institute for Security Studies.
