An expert strategist: The foreign policy of the UAE+ is based on steadfast principles and clear visions
During its diplomatic initiatives, both regionally and internationally, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is committed to supporting and enhancing the joint Gulf cooperation and formulating a common vision towards regional and international challenges.
Vision of Wise Leadership
The role played by the UAE in the Gulf is a clear embodiment of the vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, to preserve the Arabian Gulf as a strategic region whose security and stability are interconnected with global security and stability. It is also considered an integral part of the Arab world.
Realization and Cohesion
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a prominent realization of the interconnection and common destiny of the Gulf peoples. It is an institution chosen by the leaders of the six Gulf countries who have a genuine sense of their people’s pulse and fully understand their aspirations. Since its establishment, the council has taken consistent steps towards achieving the hopes of the Gulf residents. The success of this pioneering experience, built on solid foundations, and the persistent efforts exerted by Gulf leaders to achieve security and stability, can serve as a nucleus for broader and larger work at the Arab level, extending from the ocean to the Gulf.
Pioneering Journey
Dr. Tariq Fahmi, a professor of political science, says that the UAE has embarked on a pioneering journey that was initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed ben Sultan Al Nahyan since the first Gulf summit in Abu Dhabi in 1981, and it continues today under the leadership and guidance of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
Professor Fahmi adds : The foreign policy of the UAE has been based on steadfast principles and clear visions of the wise leadership since its foundation. It focuses on developing the Gulf economic integration process and committing to support joint Gulf efforts in all sectors.
