Arab and international condemnation of Houthi terrorist attacks in UAE
International condemnation of the Houthi terrorist attacks in the United Arab Emirates has been renewed, despite the failure of these attacks to affect the country and its security.
The Arab Parliament has held the international community fully responsible for taking firm positions against the Houthi terrorist attacks, holding accountable the perpetrators and those who support them with money and weapons, and preventing the coup militia from acquiring advanced weapons, ballistic missiles, and drones used to carry out their terrorist acts and targeting civilians.
In a statement published today on its website, the Arab Parliament said that the Houthi terrorist militia fired a ballistic missile towards the United Arab Emirates, which was successfully intercepted by the UAE’s defenses, causing no casualties.
The Arab Parliament affirmed that the security of the Emirates is an integral part of Arab national security, stressing that such heinous acts will not deter the Emirates from providing humanitarian services to the people of Yemen and its policies aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Gulf region in particular and the Arab region in general.
The statement stressed that the Arab Parliament stands by the UAE in its measures to protect its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents and preserve its sovereignty, expressing confidence in the wisdom of the leadership of the UAE and its ability to confront these absurd acts, in accordance with the rules of international law.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed the kingdom’s solidarity with the UAE in all the steps it takes to protect its security and the security of its brotherly people.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on its official Twitter account condemning the Houthi attack, noting that it was intercepted and destroyed by UAE air defenses.
At the same time, Bahrain condemned the new Houthi crime, praising the efficiency of the UAE’s air defense forces.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manama called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and confront the Houthi crimes.
On the international front, James Cleverly, the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, said: “His country stands in solidarity with the UAE and reaffirms the need to stop the Houthi attacks”.
The United States of America today also condemned the recent Houthi terrorist attack on the UAE.
State Department spokesman Ned Price tweeted: “We condemn the recent Houthi missile attack on Abu Dhabi”.
The angry reaction came hours after the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by Houthi militias. The attack did not result in any casualties.
It continued: “Our Air Force and Coalition Command have successfully destroyed the launch site and platform in Yemen after successfully identifying enemy positions”, it said, adding that they are prepared to deal with any threats and take all necessary measures to protect the state from all attacks.
