Bahraini royal king congratulates UAE on choosing to host COP 28
King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of Bahrain sent a congratulatory message to Sheikh Khalifa ben Zayed Al Nahyane, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of the UAE winning the bid to host the United Nations Climate Conference (COP 28) in 2023.

In his message, the Bahraini king stressed that the United Arab Emirates’ successful hosting of this important conference reflects the pivotal role and great support it attaches to various international issues and its continued cooperation with the international community to achieve development and sustainable stability.
He added that the brotherly country’s achievements at the international level are a success for all of us in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, stressing that the UAE’s success in organizing the conference enhances its position in supporting international efforts to protect the environment and climate and promote practices conducive to the protection of the planet and the sustainability of environmental resources, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
The King of Bahrain wished the sisterly United Arab Emirates further development under its wise leadership.
On Thursday, the Secretariat-General of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change officially announced that the United Arab Emirates will host the 28th session of the COP28 in 2023, which is considered the most important and largest international climate action conference with the participation of world leaders.
