Calls to designate Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a Terrorist Organization

More than (50) Iranian political and civil activists have called for designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, citing the measures taken by militias to suppress women and the disregard for the lives of the innocent.

The activists stated in a joint statement titled “Middle Eastern Women’s Union Against Global Terrorism of the Islamic Republic System” that “Iranian women have closely witnessed the ‘terror’ of the morality police, the poisoning of thousands of schoolgirls, and the killings of Mahsa Amini, Nika Shakarami, and Armita Ghasemi,” according to Iran International channel.

The statement also mentioned: “We have witnessed that the Iranian regime has used ambulances, schools, and even religious places as tools for its terrorist activities.”

During the Iranian protests last year that swept the country against the Iranian regime after the killing of Mahsa Amini by the morality police, many reports were published about the Iranian regime using ambulances to arrest protesters and deploy suppression forces.

It is worth noting that many calls have previously been made in Europe and the United States to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, but so far, no serious measures have been taken to stop the crimes committed by the military militias in Iran and beyond.
