“Chocolate with Alcohol”: Confessions by a Muslim Brotherhood Journalist Hit Ayman Nour Hard

Amr Abdel Hady, a journalist affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is listed as a terrorist organization in several countries, has made a new revelation of shocking and serious accusations. He admitted, in a recorded audio and video clip, that his former friend Ayman Nour “had offered him chocolate with alcohol at one of their meetings without informing him of its content.”

According to the website (Balbaladi), Abdel Hady, an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood, did not go into detail about what happened between them after consuming several pieces of “whiskey chocolate,” nor did he provide any information about the aftermath of their repeated “stoner” meetings or the rumors about spyware being installed on the phones of Muslim Brotherhood coalition members.

The website states that the video, posted on Abdel Hady’s official Facebook page on the evening of Monday, August 26, 2024, confirms that his words had been reviewed and edited before recording. It seems he deliberately threw these accusations with premeditation, knowing that Ayman Nour would never think of suing him.

He freely repeated the story about the “stoner” who gave him chocolate with alcohol during a meeting from their days of harmony and agreement, implying that this type of chocolate was a favored gift at their repeated gatherings with members of the Muslim Brotherhood coalition in a safe haven country.

The fierce attack on Ayman Nour suggests that “the story is much bigger than a simple disagreement between former friends and partners in a great escape.” Not only did Nour prevent Abdel Hady from appearing on the Al-Sharq TV channel before the end of 2015, but he also ordered the removal of all episodes featuring him from YouTube and Facebook. Ayman, his wife, and channel staff filed intellectual property infringement reports to delete the Al-Sharq programs posted on Abdel Hady’s accounts and pages, especially the shows hosted by Doaa Hassan.

The accusations, supported by new videos, are a repetition of some of what Amr Abdel Hady had posted on his official social media accounts since early 2016, all accusing Ayman Nour of “lying, betrayal, espionage, forgery, founding fictitious entities to obtain suspicious funding, and committing various sins and transgressions.”

On September 1, 2024, Amr Abdel Hady found himself on the receiving end. The tables turned, and one of the exiles posted a message accusing Abdel Hady of “betrayal and espionage.”
