Deaths and injuries in a terrorist bombing west of Mogadishu
At least five people were killed and several others injured when a roadside bomb exploded on a bus carrying civilians between Afgooye, 30 kilometers west of the Somali capital.
An official media report said the bus was detonated by a landmine planted on the side of the street in the Fuli area of Lower Shabeellaha province, as it was on its way to Mogadishu.
Media reports said the injured were taken to the capital and security forces sealed off the scene.
The Somali military uses the road for their movement and has extensive security points there.
Somali security authorities have not commented on the incident, and no one has claimed responsibility for it.
The terrorist group Al-Shabaab often claims responsibility for such bombings.
The Somali authorities had earlier launched what they considered an all-out battle against Al-Shabaab with the participation of tribal forces and accomplishments achieved over the past weeks.
