Painful blows
Reports revealed that last year extremist activities were monitored by associations indirectly under the organization’s authority. The center subjected the Islamic Association in Austria to scrutiny and study, and monitored 28 sermons by the imam of a mosque named Ibrahim Al-Demerdash, one of the 70 suspects who are investigated from time to time because of their Brotherhood affiliation.
The center is preparing to publish a 143-page study on the phenomenon of political Islam and how the group seeks to create parallel images of society under the title “Political Islam at the level of society”.

She added that Europe is intensifying its efforts to confront extremism and dismantle the institutions that incubate the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization. This depends on ideological confrontation, in addition to security and legal confrontation and tracking the sources of funding, pointing out that the current European moves aim to place the activities of the Brotherhood under intense scrutiny and to ban the activity of its symbols and to blacklist it as a terrorist organization.
