Despite his failed attempts to conceal his illness, Turkey’s Erdogan hires services of senior Israeli doctor

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s attempts to cover up the deterioration of his health in advance seem to have failed; now facing huge crises, he turned to Israel’s allies, despite repeatedly denying the relationship between Ankara and Tel Aviv.

Erdogan hires services of senior Israeli doctor

Israeli media revealed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently hired a famous Israeli cardiologist, which proves that he suffers from many heart problems.
The media added: The Israeli doctor hired by Erdogan was Professor Isaac Shapira, Deputy Director-General of the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv and Hospital Medical Tourism Supervisor, who specializes in cardiovascular diseases, as well as providing medical advice to a number of world leaders on medical problems and treatments.

The Israeli media, citing informed sources, reported that they confirmed that: “It would not be surprising if Erdogan meets the Israeli doctor in Turkey”, the hospital and the Israeli doctor refused to comment on the news.

Erdogan’s disease

In recent months, there has been a lot of speculation in Turkey that Erdogan, who will celebrate his 68th birthday next month, is suffering from health problems. The US magazine Foreign Policy, in its report entitled “Erdogan may be very ill and cannot continue to lead Turkey”, confirmed that Erdogan appeared to be clearly ill and weak recently, to the extent that there are indications that he is very ill and cannot run for re-election.

The US newspaper cited several videos in which the Turkish president did not appear to be in good shape, appeared to be frail, and in one of the videos even needed his wife’s help as he moved down the stairs.

The newspaper said: It is likely that Erdogan is suffering from increasing forgetfulness, bouts of breathing problems, confusion, vomiting, and the implantation of an internal defibrillator, noting that several of his accompanying doctors have appeared, reducing his meetings with the press, and pumping painkillers before his public events.

In the meantime, the Turkish president’s response was lackluster, with the head of the Turkish presidency’s Communication Department, Fakhreddine Alton, publishing a short video showing Erdogan playing basketball, without specifying when, and possibly an old one.
