Divisions Strike the Brotherhood Organization – Details
Since the death of Ibrahim Munir, the terrorist group has witnessed a state of collapse and disintegration on the London front, especially with the severity of crises with the Istanbul front.
Internal cracks
A report by Roaya revealed that cracks began to appear on the Brotherhood’s body after years of deep tremors, leaving two rival fronts, one in Istanbul under the leadership of the group’s former secretary-general, Mahmoud Hussein, and the other in London under the leadership of Ibrahim Munir, a late historical leader who served as deputy supreme guide and chargé d’affaires at the time.
After many deliberations and sessions, the leaders of the international organization chose to appoint a figure similar to Ibrahim Munir, who has a great history. He was Salah Abdulhaq, a member of the group and one of the officials in charge of the education file within the organization, in order to reunite the group.
Continuous conflict
Dr. Ibrahim Rabie, a leading Muslim Brotherhood defector and a researcher on terrorist groups, revealed that the terrorist group is living in a state of extreme disintegration during this period. He pointed out that the London group represents young people, who are the biggest group, and the disagreement within the same front is old.
Abdulhaq’s nomination came through a will and not through elections, he added, explaining that the naming of Abdulhaq took place when the will of Ibrahim Munir was opened in the presence of the leaders of the London Front. With this step, Munir wanted to strengthen his front after his death and prevent major disputes and conflicts between al-Zayt, Bheiri, and Al-Jazar.
