First commercial flight between Israel and the UAE is programmed for next week
Officials of the US declared on Tuesday that the first commercial flight between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is programmed for next week, transporting American and Israeli delegations to Abu Dhabi after the deal between the two countries.
The officials also reported that the flight, which expected to be on an Israeli El-Al airliner, would transport a US delegation directed by President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and national security adviser Robert O’Brien. They also reported that the Israeli delegation would contain experts in the domains of aviation, space, health, and banking. Whereas, the officials were not authorized to about this subject publicly and they spoke on condition of anonymity.
Moreover, it will be the first known direct flight by the state airline of Israel to a Gulf Arab country and an important indication of development in achieving the Aug. 13 deal by Israel and the UAE to set up official ties.
It should be noted that the UAE is only the third Arab country to accept official ties with Israel, after Egypt and Jordan. Israeli and American officials have declared their hope that other Gulf Arab countries will soon follow the same way of UAE.
