In the presence of Al-Sisi and Mohammed Ben Zayed.. The opening ceremony of the July 3 military base began

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi arrived on Saturday at the July 3 naval base for the opening ceremony.

Sheik Mohammed ben Zayed Al Nahyane, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and President of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed al-Menfi are attending the inauguration ceremony.

Earlier, the Egyptian presidency invited Libyan army chief Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, President of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Manfi and Speaker of the House of Representatives Aguila Salah to visit Cairo and attend the opening of the July 3 naval base.

The July 3 military base is located in the Jarjub area on Egypt’s northwest coast, near the Libyan border.

The July 3 base, which Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi will open on Saturday, is Egypt’s largest “naval air base” overlooking the Mediterranean in the Jarjub area near the Libyan border.

This military base is one of Egypt’s most important in the western region, where the strategic dimension of Jarjub is securing the economic zone from Egypt’s northern Mediterranean coast and the borders of Libya.

The bases are part of a comprehensive development plan for the Egyptian Navy. They will serve as bases and staging points for logistical support for Egyptian forces in the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
