Jordan sees unprecedented progress in health sector thanks to the King Abdullah II leadership

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has witnessed major developments during the era of His Majesty King Abdullah II and has become one of the most developed Arab countries, especially in the field of health. These developments include health computing, therapeutic tourism, development of construction infrastructure, development of services, the establishment of hospitals in abundance and the application of insurance, which guarantees the provision of all treatment services, and the provision of medicines free of charge or for a small sum of money to all beneficiaries of the health insurance program.

Under His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Kingdom of Jordan now enjoys an abundance of hospitals and an advanced medical network affiliated with the public and private sectors. Medical services in Jordan are characterized by the modernity of hospitals and medical centers and the presence of some of the world’s most important specialists in treating various diseases.

Under the orders of His Highness King Abdullah II, Jordan has developed the Hussein Medical City, which has become one of the most important medical centers in the region and the world, in addition to a group of large hospitals in various cities of the Kingdom that provide the highest services to Jordanians and host a number of distinguished senior doctors and surgeons at the international level.

HM King Abdullah II once ordered the establishment of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, which was a national and positive asset in light of the crisis that affected the world.

The National Center for Security and Crisis Management has increased citizens’ confidence in His Majesty King Abdullah II and their conviction of the King’s decisions and his fruitful efforts on the part of citizens, especially after the decisions of the Center in the face of an unprecedented pandemic worldwide, but it was coming out with an organized and coordinated collective effort, which increased confidence in him and in the Ministry of Health and all the Kingdom’s institutions in managing the crisis inside the Center and on the ground in the street, which increased the reassurance of citizens and residents and their confidence in all the decisions taken.

The Kingdom has intensified vaccination campaigns to the top of the world’s list of countries that have received the vaccination of the vast majority of its citizens. This has had the greatest impact in mitigating the spread of the virus and the severity of the infection, and in resuming work in all sectors at all times and at full operational capacity.

Under the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan ranked first in the region in medical tourism, the election of Jordan to the presidency of the World Council for Therapeutic Tourism, the establishment of the Council for the Accreditation of Health Institutions in 2007 with the aim of raising the quality of services in the health sector, the establishment of a wise project for computerizing the health sector on the initiative of His Majesty in 2012 and the establishment of the Air Ambulance Center in 2015 with the direct support of His Majesty the King.

During the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan is considered one of the first Arab countries in the field of medical tourism and the development of the concept of therapeutic tourism by: Develop and provide quality medical personnel, and relatively low treatment costs in Jordan.

During the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was able to establish a comprehensive health renaissance during which it achieved great achievements in various medical fields. Jordan has become one of the few places where the treatment of both the body and the soul is achieved.
