King Mohammed VI thanks Gulf Leaders for Moroccan Sahara Solidarity


King Mohammed VI of Morocco has sent letters of thanks and gratitude to the leaders of the Gulf States for their unequivocal support for the Moroccan identity of the Sahara.

The Arab Maghreb News Agency, the official agency of the Kingdom of Morocco, has released a series of letters in which the King of Morocco expresses his thanks and appreciation to the leaders of the Gulf States for their support to the Moroccan Sahara.

The letters were addressed to the leaders of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In these letters, the King of Morocco expressed his gratitude for the full and absolute support of these countries to the Moroccan Sahara.

In his messages, he praised the strong relations between the Kingdom and the rest of the Gulf States, and expressed his gratitude for the GCC’s recent position.

The King described the leaders of the six Gulf States as his “brothers”, expressing his sincere gratitude and thanks to “Their Majesty and Highness the leaders of the Gulf States for their strong support for the Kingdom of Morocco’s completion of its territorial integrity and full and unequivocal support for the Moroccan identity of the Sahara, during the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council at its forty-second session in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.

The Moroccan monarch praised “this noble position”, stressing that it came to reaffirm the depth and strength of Moroccan-Gulf relations, which “are rooted in our strong belief together in the unity of our common destiny, which the Kingdom of Morocco places above all other considerations, and whose security and stability are an integral part of the security and stability of the Arab Gulf countries”, according to the expression of the royal letters.
