Kuwait’s Emir : Calls for Dialogue Between Executive, Legislative Authorities
Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has called for a national dialogue between the legislative and executive authorities.
He urged relevant parties to “direct all energies and capabilities to serve the country and resolve all outstanding issues,” state-run KUNA reported on Wednesday, citing Minister of Emiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak.
Sheikh Nawaf hopes the dialogue would achieve its desired goals to bolster democratic work, in line with the constitution, Sheikh Muhammad added.
Kuwait celebrated on Wednesday the first anniversary of Sheikh Nawaf assuming power, after succeeding late Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The country swore in its 16th ruler on September 29, 2020.
