Lebanese analyst: Hezbollah relies on drugs for funding
The terrorist Hezbollah continues its destructive and absurd acts by disseminating and manufacturing drugs substances for distribution throughout the region.
Clashes
The city of Baalbek, which is under the control of Hezbollah, witnessed clashes between the Lebanese army and drug smuggling gangs. The clashes resulted in the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of five others during a raid to search for wanted drug smugglers in the neighborhood of Al-Sharawna.
As a continuation of Hezbollah’s terrorist plans, the gangs affiliated with the terrorist militia used rocket-propelled grenades and medium weapons in these confrontations. This prompted the army to bring in more military reinforcements, with the support of a helicopter, while working to surround a group of wanted individuals.
Manufacturing drugs
Lebanese political analyst Tawfiq Shoman says: The terrorist Hezbollah uses the areas it controls to establish factories and hideouts for the manufacture of narcotic substances, which are smuggled through tunnels and border areas for distribution in the area.
The Lebanese political analyst added that the area controlled by Hezbollah, where clashes took place, is under the full security control of Hezbollah. Some neighborhoods, such as Al-Sharawna, are considered a haven for drug dealers and distributors, in addition to fugitives from justice and criminals.
