New Houthi crimes in Al Mahwit… and Threats to target Marib gas station
Houthi terrorist militias surrounded a small village in Al Mahwit Governorate, killing, wounding, and arresting a number of villagers in a Houthi attempt to subdue anti-Houthi tribes.
Local sources told al-Mashhad Yemeni today: “The Houthis have besieged the village of Heften, with a population of 500, launched a military campaign against it, and kidnapped seven social figures in the village”.
The sources added that the Houthis not only did this, but they also opened fire on the houses of citizens, as a result of which citizen Ismail Bin Ismail Al Radi was killed, his eldest son was injured, and all his sons, including an 8-year-old injured child, were kidnapped along with the body of the father.
The sources confirmed that the Houthi military campaign was carried out by Sheik Hanin Qoteina, who assumes the position of governor of Al Mahwit after he attempted to loot citizens’ property.
Villagers called on the Yemeni Presidential Council to open the front lines against the Houthi militias, after the militias exploited the truce and attacked Yemeni villages, the last of which was Khabza village in Qifa, al-Bayda province, where they used various types of weapons, including missiles and drones, blowing up houses with TNT and killing and injuring 20 villagers.
In a press statement the day before yesterday, a senior leader in the pro-Iran militias, appointed as deputy foreign minister in the unrecognized Houthi government, Hussein Al-Izzi, hinted at targeting the Marib gas-powered plant (the largest power plant in Yemen), following statements made by Presidential Command Council member and Marib governor Sultan Al-Arada, Yemen News reported.
In an interview with BBC Arabic, al-Arada said: He offered Houthi militias in 2016 to resupply Sanaa with electricity from the Marib gas station, and he refused, defying Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi to accept the offer.
