Painful incident in Syria: Father holds daughter for years underground

“The Syrian capital, Damascus, recently witnessed a shocking incident as a man held his daughter in an isolated room for years.”

According to the Syrian Ministry of the Interior, the Jdaydet Artooz police station in Rif Damascus received a report that Adnan had detained his daughter Nour in an isolated room next to his house, half of which was underground.

According to the ministry, a police patrol from the Jdaydet Artooz sub-district went to the scene, where a 30-year-old girl was found trapped inside and showing signs of physical and psychological exhaustion.

The girl was immediately freed, taken out and taken to the nearest medical point for treatment, and her father was arrested.

By interrogating the father, he confessed to having detained his daughter for several years on the grounds that she was ill.

The arrest of the father was made and he was referred to the competent judiciary, even though the girl is still receiving treatment at the Qotna National Hospital, in the countryside of Damascus.
