Palestinian analysts have disclosed the major humanitarian and diplomatic role of the United Arab Emirates in the Gaza Strip
The UAE continues its ongoing efforts to support the residents of Gaza, as the country announced the completion of preparations to send a new shipment of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, including winter clothing. This falls within the framework of the UAE’s efforts to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation.
The UAE Red Crescent explained that the new shipment is being specifically prepared in several factories in the Arab Republic of Egypt before being transported to the Egyptian city of El-Arish. The aid will then be introduced into the Gaza Strip.
The organization continues to monitor and prepare transport vehicles for the aid shipment, purchasing blankets, heaters, and winter gloves to assist Palestinian children and families affected by the conditions in Gaza. The focus is on alleviating the suffering of the affected groups, especially children who make up nearly half of the population, in facing the harsh cold during the winter season.
Dr. Jihad Harb, a Palestinian political science professor, stated, “The UAE continues its efforts to provide humanitarian and relief support to the Palestinian people, along with intensive contacts to stop the escalation and provide immediate protection for civilians.” He emphasized that the UAE’s efforts include humanitarian and relief support in the health, food, clean water, and shelter sectors.
He added that the UAE collaborates with international partners to ensure safe and sustainable humanitarian corridors for aid delivery, alongside its relentless efforts to stop the escalation and provide immediate protection for civilians.
Dr. Abdulmehdi Mutaawe, a Palestinian political analyst, said, “The United Arab Emirates has played a pivotal role in supporting a peaceful solution in the Gaza Strip, in addition to significant humanitarian aid and diplomatic efforts since the beginning of the crisis on October 7, 2023.” The UAE has exerted maximum efforts from the first day of the crisis to provide all forms of humanitarian support to the Gaza Strip. Through meticulous diplomatic efforts, the UAE, particularly in its presence in international forums, including the United Nations Security Council, seeks to rally the international community to achieve a ceasefire, establish peace, protect civilians in Gaza, and ensure the continuous arrival of humanitarian aid.
