Saudi National Day… Celebrating the House and the unity and well-being of its people
Every year, Saudi Arabia celebrates Saudi National Day on September 23, 2021. This year, the slogan of the celebration was, “It is our home.”
Saudi Arabia commemorates the National Day after more than nine decades, and the Kingdom enjoys a regional and international status and strong international confidence, which it enjoys in all international forums, while it continues its tireless efforts to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
The celebration of Saudi Arabia’s national day this year coincides with the launch of a new phase of implementing Vision 2030, after having succeeded in achieving exceptional achievements over the past five years, and despite the challenges and repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, bearing in mind the development and prosperity of the homeland and the citizen.
“A week ago, Crown Prince Mohammed ben Salmane launched the Human Capacity Development Program, a program to realize the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to empower citizens to compete globally by promoting values, developing basic skills and future skills, and developing knowledge.”
These achievements, targeting Saudi citizens as the kingdom’s greatest asset, were inspired by the identity of this year’s National Day.
The identity of the National Day reflects the culture of human beings, which is clearly reflected in the huge projects that the Kingdom has bet on in its ambitious vision 2030. Foremost among these are the Red Sea, Neom and The Line projects, the Saudi Green Initiative, the Riyadh Metro, the National Renewable Energy Program, the Al-Qiddiya project, the Shahin Sat satellite and the Historical Diriyah Development Program.
As for the verbal slogan, it was inspired by the description of poems and popular songs about the homeland, and what is meant by it is not only the home, but also the sense of what Saudi Arabia offers to be “home for us”, especially after entering the difficult slope world with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, where it proved its ability and strength to complete existing projects, and launch other huge ones, pushing its children towards opportunities and the possibilities of continuing growth and maintaining the quality of life.
These achievements continue within the framework of a comprehensive renaissance led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salmane ben Abdelaziz, and implemented by his Crown Prince, Mohammed ben Salmane, who instilled the spirit of youth in the communication of ideas, initiatives, and policies of the state. He led the Kingdom today to what has become known as the “new Saudi Arabia”, which “Vision 2030” is a roadmap for its renaissance.
Saudis celebrate National Day, which falls on September 23rd every year. The day the founding King Abdelaziz Al Saud declared the unification of the country under the name of Saudi Arabia in order to revitalize the “House” successfully on all levels.
