Field sources reported to Al-Montasaf Net that the confrontations occurred after a full “company” of the Houthi militia defected and attempted to join the Giants forces on the Mal’a front, south of Marib.
According to the sources, the fighting lasted several hours in the Jabal Al-Mustaned area overlooking the village of Al-Haisha, near the Mal’a pass, resulting in casualties on both sides.

The sources also noted that the Houthis managed to prevent the defecting elements from joining the Giants Brigades, led by Abu Zar’a Al-Mahrimi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council.
