Spreading terrorism and chaos.. What are the Brotherhood’s new plans in Yemen?
Once again, the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to establish itself in Yemen after all of its schemes failed in the countries of North Africa and Sudan. Thus, Yemen became the last stop for the Brotherhood to establish itself in the Arab political scene.
The group is trying to carry out its plans using the methods of Shabwah province, where the group’s operations have been noticeably active in recent times, in order to spread chaos and terrorize the population.
New terrorist operations
Cities in southern Yemen have recently witnessed intensive terrorist operations. They have turned into a permanent theater of operations for the Muslim Brotherhood, especially areas under its control, or for the Houthi militia, the group’s secret ally.
Analysts say the Brotherhood now poses a major threat to the security of southern cities, especially Shabwah province, where Brotherhood operations are very active.
A Yemeni security source said: “The Muslim Brotherhood is now seeking to provoke the Yemeni government and the Presidential Council with plans to cause chaos in the cities of the south and spread terrorism in them”.
“These operations include shooting foreigners and some security personnel, the most recent of which was the shooting of Turki Jawhar, which resulted in a severe head injury”.
The anarchy of Reform Party
Analysts confirmed that the Reform Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the cities of the south, has its own militias that carry out such terrorist operations and brutal assaults in order to spread chaos and terrorize the residents of the cities of the south.
Yemeni media confirmed that the Brotherhood is carrying out a series of brutal attacks, the most recent of which targeted a leader of the Shabwah Brigades in a treacherous attack that killed two soldiers and wounded three others.
Observers see the acceleration of Brotherhood terrorism in Yemen as a new attempt by the group to replicate the Hadramaut Valley model in Shabwah province.
Observers say the group’s goal in terms of fomenting chaos and spreading terror in the southern cities is to consolidate its foothold in case they are excluded from the political scene, especially since removing Brotherhood militias from Wadi Hadramaut is one of the military aspects of the Riyadh Agreement.
