The Ennahdha movement continues incitement against the Tunisian President

In response to its exclusion from the National Consultative Commission for a New Republic, Ennahdha, the political arm of Tunisia’s Muslim Brotherhood, issued a statement continuing to pit Tunisian nationalist forces against President Kais Saied.

IFM Radio quoted Ennahdha’s statement as calling on all national forces to continue the struggle against Saied’s regime, under the pretext of saving the country from the dangers of economic, financial and social collapse, and what it called international isolation, in a new episode of the Muslim Brotherhood’s attempts to destabilize and spread chaos. Ennahdha and the Muslim Brotherhood, which is classified as terrorist in some countries, represent the best climate to extend their control and spread their poisons in societies.

Last Friday, President Kais Saied appointed law professor Sadok Belaïd, known for his fierce hostility to Ennahdha and the Muslim Brotherhood, as the co-ordinator of the National Consultative Commission charged with drafting a new constitution, in the midst of Saied’s war against Ennahdha on more than one front.

In the face of attempts by Saied and the broad anti-Brotherhood grassroots to amend the Brotherhood’s constitution, Ennahdha attacked Said’s recent decree to form the National Consultative Commission for a New Republic.

Ennahdha, an offshoot of a group that has known nothing in its history but to overthrow legitimacy and create chaos, criticized the decree to form the National Consultative Council, considering it a “total departure from constitutional legitimacy” and a commitment to what it described as the “coup of July 25, 2021”, in reference to the July 25 resolutions that overthrew the Brotherhood’s rule after a decade that many Tunisians described as black, in view of the many crimes committed by Ennahdha, ranging from assassinations of political activists to judicial manipulation, financial and political corruption, and money laundering.

On February 9, the defense team revealed Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi in a press conference with documents the involvement of Ennahdha and its leader Rached Ghannouchi and his son, as well as others, in money laundering crimes and suspicious financial movements with parties linked to the State of Qatar to finance the travel of young Tunisians to Syria to join ISIS camps, as well as attacks on the internal security of the state and spying on Tunisians.
