The Houthi militia continues to commit crimes of siege – Details

The Houthi terrorist group continues its subversive plans in many parts of Yemen by committing the most heinous crimes and terrorism and imposing a siege on Yemeni regions in order to carry out Iranian plans, which are considered the main support for the Houthi group in Yemen.

Public outrage

Over the past few hours, the Yemeni city of Taiz witnessed mass demonstrations to demand the opening of roads and the lifting of the siege imposed on the city by the Houthi group eight years ago. Demonstrators demanded the lifting of the siege and the opening of roads, which is considered one of the most important humanitarian treatments for all Yemenis.

A statement issued by participants in the recent demonstrations revealed that the unjust siege and continued suffering entails humanitarian and economic burdens and risks, and restricts the movement of people in the province, goods and various humanitarian needs. It held the international community and the UN envoy’s office responsible for ignoring the Taiz siege file and closing its main crossings and roads linking Taiz to various governorates, specifically the Taiz-Sanaa, Taiz-Al-Hudaydah, and Taiz-Aden roads.

Commission of crimes

Adel Al-Shabahi, a Yemeni political analyst, says: The Houthis have committed many crimes against citizens in Yemen, by constantly besieging many areas of Yemen and attempting to control them in order to carry out their terrorist and subversive plans in the region, amidst public anger towards the actions of the Houthi terrorist group in Yemen.

The Yemeni political analyst added that the emergence of large popular demonstrations in Yemen, especially in Taiz, is a clear expression of their rejection of the Houthi terrorist policies and the imposition of siege on them, which has had a major impact on the living conditions of citizens in Yemen.

He added that the Houthi terrorist group is committing crimes and violated the UN truce in the past period by exploiting this period with terrorist acts against the stability of Yemen’s provinces, in addition to imposing royalties on citizens in Yemen, which caused many crises in Yemen.
