The mascot of the upcoming FIFA World Cup unveiled in Qatar
It seems that Qatar’s preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be full of surprises and huge criticism, to become a wave of continuous Arab anger, again in less than a week.
A few hours ago, the World Cup’s first music was criticized for not expressing Arab identity. The World Cup’s charade, designed by an Iranian engineer, was revealed a few hours ago, proving Iran’s continued interference in everything related to Qatar and the exploitation of the relationship between the two parties to provoke Arabs.
Iranian media outlets revealed that the Qatar 2022 World Cup spell was designed by Iranian graphic designer Hossein Ojaghi.
The spell, dubbed “La’eeb”, was unveiled Friday during the draw ceremony for the finals of the World Championships, which will be hosted by Qatar from November 21st to December 18th.
The creative spell symbolizes a joyful personality that comes from a virtual world, i.e., an object belonging to a parallel world, and cannot be classified as a certain thing, but can freely describe it as you like. This personality is used to following the World Cup throughout history and interacting with its most prominent moments, and it is also characterized by the spirit of adventure, exploration and assistance, welcoming soccer fans from around the world, and strengthening the enthusiastic atmosphere, a few months before the launch of the Qatar World Cup.
Also on the same day, the first official release of music for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was released, “Let’s Go We Are Better Together”, as the first official music video for the World Cup. The song will be released before the World Cup draw.
Trinidad Cardona, Davido and Aicha appeared in the music video on the effects of R&B and reggae, and will play a key role in the final draw of the tournament. The song was performed by American singer and producer David Adigi Adilic (Davido), Qatari artist Aisha, and American singer Trinidad Cardona.
The song sparked a wave of outrage among Qataris on Twitter; a qatari woman wrote: “Rejoice, people, an international wedding in Qatar, and some are all interested in a sweet song! No. He doesn’t represent us! Strange fate and!! Rejoice in this global marriage, with its negatives and positives, sweet and bitter, in our heritage, in our Arabism, in our universality”. While another writes: “The song #Let’s Go We Are Better Together disappointed the Arab masses, we wish it was an Arab song or it had Arabic words”
A third confirmed: “Qatar’s 2022 World Cup song is frankly the worst song I’ve ever heard, it’s been interpreted as a YouTube ad that started and you close it”.
