This is how Hezbollah exploits the infrastructure of the Lebanese army
Hezbollah, the Lebanese political and military organization, exploits the infrastructure of the Lebanese army and intelligence, relying on influential figures within these military institutions.
The Iranian-backed party has recruited agents within the official Lebanese intelligence agencies to achieve military objectives.
According to reports from Al Arabiya network, the recent maneuvers carried out by Hezbollah elements last month clearly demonstrated the militia’s exploitation of intelligence capabilities and reliance on them in their military movements.
Sources have revealed that Hezbollah infiltrated Lebanese army intelligence equipment over the past year through one of its agents, confirming that the militia also exploits Western aid provided to the armed forces.
They also pointed out that Hezbollah uses Beirut airport radars and the Lebanese navy without the knowledge of the army command.
Hundreds of Hezbollah militia members conducted large-scale military exercises in southern Lebanon last month, simulating a ground attack while carrying shoulder-fired missiles, with Hezbollah’s yellow flags waving alongside them.
It is worth mentioning that the Lebanese army recently sparked a dispute with Hezbollah when it raided areas under the control of the militia to arrest individuals involved in illegal activities. Political figures intervened to resolve the dispute, which was on the brink of turning into armed clashes between the two parties.
