Torture and epidemics… Scandals of Houthi detainees reveal the truth about the terrorist militia
Day after day, the truth of the Houthi militia is revealed. The Houthi militia used deception, violence and repression as a means of controlling Yemeni territory, exploiting several incidents to promote its lies and attempt to distort the role of the Arab coalition supporting Yemeni legitimacy.
Houthi Crimes
A human rights report issued by Irada Against Torture and Enforced Disappearances revealed the death of seven kidnapped civilians in the detention centers of the Huthi terrorist militia, affiliated with Iran, due to torture, and documented various torture crimes of 120 abductees and forcibly disappeared in its detention.
The report mentioned that the organization received 108 reports last year of abduction and forced disappearance of civilians from houses, workplaces, checkpoints, and security and military ambushes of the Houthi terrorist militia. Its legal team was able to verify 86 cases of abduction out of the total and was able to document 38 cases of enforced disappearance in its detention centers.
The report pointed out that Houthi militias have volunteered to the judiciary as a tool to issue political death and imprisonment decisions against opponents. During the reporting period, they issued 31 death sentences against kidnapped people from Al-Mahwit province, Saada, Sanaa and other provinces, all of which are illegal political decisions that the militia uses for political, financial and media blackmail.
Houthi abuses
Dr. Ahmed Jabbari, a Yemeni human rights activist, says that the Huthi militia continue to violate human rights in Yemeni regions, using the most hideous forms of torture in prisons, ranging from insults and beatings, some of which amount to torture which takes their lives, to liquidation.
The Yemeni human rights activist added that Houthi militia prisons are witnessing horrific torture against abductees in various governorates under their control, and that many of those abducted died as a result of torture. He noted that dozens of abducted citizens died in Houthi militia prisons as a result of being brutally tortured.
Epidemics and diseases
He explained that the brutal crimes of torture committed by the Houthi terrorist militia are no longer the only danger threatening the lives of detainees and detainees in its prisons, as diseases and epidemics have become a threat and torture, and if they are not killed in prisons, they will stay with them for life.
