Tunisia, AFRICOM, 11 Countries participate in Joint exercise
Tunisia’s Defense Ministry announced Saturday it’ll participate during a exercise , which can compile the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) and 11 other countries.
The exercise is about to begin on May 16 and endways May 28. it’ll be held at the La Goulette naval base in Tunis and therefore the Mediterranean .
“Phoenix Express 2021” aims to extend regional cooperation, maritime domain awareness, information-sharing practices and operational capabilities.
The drill further targets enhancing efforts to market safety and security within the Mediterranean and body of water of participating North African nations.
According to a press statement published by the Tunisian state press agency (TAP), it’ll be conducted in partnership with AFRICOM, four military ships belonging to the navy, five foreign ships and 130 officers from 12 participating countries.
