Tunisia: Ennahdha movement spies on Tunisians, according to Belaid/Brahmi Martyrs Defense Committee
In connection with the press conference held by the defense committee for the martyrs Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi, and the documents revealed the involvement of the Tunisian Ennahdha Movement and its leader Rached Ghannouchi in the issues of money laundering and intelligence, member of the committee Abdel Nasser al-Aouini revealed that the movement belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is classified as terrorist in some countries of the world, spied on ordinary Tunisian citizens.
During the Tunisian program “Rendez Vous 9”, al-Aouini said: “The commission has documents proving the involvement of the Tunisian Ennahdha Movement in spying on ordinary Tunisians for foreign entities”, he said, adding that “Ennahdha is writing reports about ordinary citizens”.
The new accusations, attributed by al-Aouini to the Ennahdha Brotherhood Movement, came after a press conference held by the defense of Belaid and Al-Brahmi in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The documents revealed the involvement of Ennahdha Movement and its leader Ghannouchi in attacks on the internal security of the state, in contact with a foreign country, and the laundering of money by Ghannouchi and his son, as well as suspicious financial movements with parties linked to the State of Qatar, to finance the travel of young Tunisians to Syria to join ISIS camps, according to Radio Mosaique FM.
Al-Aouini warned that more facts will be revealed soon: “There are still other facts that we have not passed on”.
He called on Ennahdha to respond to the accusations against it regarding Qatari funds, saying: “Ennahdha sells in the sovereignty of the country, a party that has a secret organization and spies on Tunisians, making lists of opponents and loyalists… They write reports in ordinary Tunisians in the villages and inside the offices of the Ennahdha movement, and they make lists of those who are against the movement and lists of those who are loyal to it”.
