Tunisia opens investigations into a case involving the fugitive son of Ghannouchi. Details
The Tunisian judiciary has opened a new case of conspiracy against national security led by the son of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Ennahdha Movement leader, Mouaz Ghannouchi, Brotherhood secret service leaders, former Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, and former Carthage Palace advisor Nadia Okasha, to overthrow the rule of Tunisian President Kais Saied.
Ennahdha terrorism
He is the eldest son of the president of the Ennahdha Movement and has been with his father since 2011 as a permanent companion, with no clear or official political role. He becomes his father’s locker, where he manages some incendiary files exclusively between himself and his father. The new Muslim Brotherhood scheme seeks to attract international public opinion to gain sympathy and intervene to get his father out, despite the accumulation of cases in which he is involved and calls for the safe exit of Rached Ghannouchi from Tunisia.
Terrorist plots
Oussama Aouidet, a political analyst and a leader in the Tunisian People’s Movement, said: “Mouaz Ghannouchi is considered one of the most dangerous elements of the organization. He is surrounded by a wide network of relationships with large financial supplies to help him get Rached Ghannouchi out of prison and to finance the attempted coup d’état.
He added that despite all these attempts did not affect the relationship of the Tunisian presidency with the countries of the world, as the delegation of the leaders of the European Union that visited Tunisia last Sunday did not discuss any of this, as was hoped by the Brotherhood inciters abroad.
Ghannouchi’s son leads the conspiracy against state security and is one of the most prominent conspirators against state security, he said, adding that the Tunisian people know the risks and plans led by this terrorist movement to destroy the state.
