Tunisian institutions complete construction by holding parliament.. Overwhelming end for the Brotherhood
The Tunisian parliament convened by a presidential decree after a two-year freeze, for the first time in the country’s history, without immunity or members of the Brotherhood parties. It is supposed to discuss a number of important issues, foremost of which is the selection of a president and the treatment of laws related to the economy. During its first session, which started on Monday, the Tunisian parliament chose Ibrahim Bouderbala as new president by 83 votes.
A Parliament Without the Brotherhood
Tunisian media reported that the new parliament had no members from the Muslim Brotherhood’s Ennahdha party who had been politically isolated.
The new parliament will discuss measures related to political reforms in line with the country’s mechanisms and plans of action in preparation for the launch of the new republic, it said, adding that it will work as quickly as possible on all legislative issues, coinciding with the country-led process of political reform.
Illusions of Ghannouchi
Despite the convening of the parliament, there are still delusions that Rached Ghannouchi, the leader of the Tunisian Muslim Brotherhood, is about to return to power once again to forget the catastrophic crimes he and his terrorist organization face. This is done through an attempt to sow his poison and plant his claws in any reform plan that the country is undertaking to save what is left of it, after a decade that was caused by the Brotherhood’s Ennahdha movement.
Completing Institutions
Dr. Mondher Guefrach, a Tunisian analyst, says: “We congratulate the Tunisian people for completing their institutions and building the country’s map, pointing out that what Ghannouchi and his Muslim Brotherhood movement are doing are nothing but terrorist attempts to spread poison and chaos in the country, confirming that he has not yet realized the end of their organization, which is facing numerous terrorist and financial crimes, explaining that the statement he issued is an invitation to his supporters to stir up discord and confusion in the country.”
“The new parliament is working in a transparent way, and will be different from previous parliaments,” the Tunisian analyst added, confirming that the new parliament has officially buried the black decade, which is the decade of blood and terrorism, and sent young people to hotbeds of terrorism and tension around the world.
