Turkey rejects Houthi terrorism against Saudi Arabia and UAE
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has reiterated his country’s rejection of Houthi terrorist attacks on civilian facilities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The Turkish minister made the remarks on Monday during a joint press conference with his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, in Manama, according to Turkey’s official news website TRT.
Turkey is against all forms of terrorism, the foreign minister said, calling Houthi attacks against the UAE and Saudi Arabia terrorist attacks targeting civilians.
He added: “In our phone calls and statements, we confirmed our solidarity with the UAE and Saudi Arabia”.
“All problems in Yemen, Syria, Libya, the entire region and the Islamic world must be resolved through political means as soon as possible”, Cavusoglu stressed.
Terrorist attacks such as this increase problems and fuel conflicts, he said, adding: We stand with friendly and brotherly countries in this regard.
The talks with the UAE have made great progress, and the mutual visits have been successful, noting that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the UAE in February and that Turkey’s National Day will be celebrated at the Dubai World Expo.
