UAE condemns Houthis’ targeting of civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia
The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the targeting of civilian objects in Saudi Arabia by Houthi terrorist militias.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the United Arab Emirates said that the continuation of these attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia reflects its flagrant defiance of the international community and the efforts exerted to end the Yemeni crisis, and its disregard for all international laws and norms, which requires a deterrent response to anything that threatens the security, safety and lives of civilians, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The Ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated acts targeting vital and civilian installations, the security of the Kingdom, energy supplies and the stability of the global economy.
It also called on the international community to support the measures taken by the Saudi-led Arab coalition to stop the targeting of civilian objects by terrorist militias.
The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these terrorist attacks and its support for all measures taken to preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and that of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the State as a threat to its security and stability.
Earlier on Friday, the Saudi-led Arab coalition reported 16 hostile attacks against the kingdom, saying it was exercising restraint to make the Yemeni consultations a success.
Some of these hostile attacks on oil and electricity distribution facilities resulted in material damage to civilian installations and property.
