UAE gravely concerned about situation in Palestine and calls for ceasefire

Emirates : We are concerned about the escalation of violence in Palestine and Israel and call for a ceasefire


The United Arab Emirates, through its Foreign Minister Sheik Abdallah ben Zayed Al Nahyane, has expressed its deep concern at the escalation of violence in Palestine and Israel and offered its sincere condolences to all the victims of the recent hostilities.

Sheik Abdallah ben Zayed Al Nahyane called on all Palestinian and Israeli parties to exercise maximum restraint and take immediate steps to abide by the ceasefire and start a political dialog.

The United Arab Emirates joined others in calling for an immediate cessation of violence and hostilities and called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and take immediate steps to observe the ceasefire and start a political dialog.

The UAE Minister stressed that the painful events we witnessed last week are an important reminder of the need to start peaceful dialog and reconciliation, saying : In this regard, we count on the promises of the Abraham Accords to our present and future generations to live in peace, dignity and prosperity with their neighbors…”Real leadership at this time of crisis requires an end to all provocative and retaliatory actions and practices that increase tension and congestion between the two sides, and an effort to calm the situation and ease tensions”.

His country was fully prepared to support all efforts to that end.
