Under the orders of His Highness King Abdullah II, the Jordanian Armed Forces have taken the initiative to develop and modernize its equipment by utilizing its available resources in cooperation with the King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development, as well as by introducing the latest weapons from various available sources. It has also followed the latest training basics for its personnel, focusing on individual training and the refining of military personnel using modern methods in various training fields.

A special directorate has been established to handle information technology matters and is attached to the computer training center. The computer has been introduced to all units of the armed forces.

Today, the Armed Forces participate with trained troops in many parts of the world, in addition to field hospitals equipped with the latest medical equipment and qualified personnel.

The Jordanian Armed Forces have delivered the lofty humanitarian message by exploiting their experience and knowledge in the service of international peace and security, in the United Nations leadership and as military observers, and have found the best of their sons who have been martyred in several locations around the world.

Global Fire Power’s annual report on the list of the world’s most powerful armies showed that in 2022, the Jordanian army occupied 12th place among Arab countries and 75th place globally, making it one of the strongest Arab countries, the region and the world, and moving forward towards a higher ranking in the coming years.
